Kat Laclede – Owner/Head Trainer

Professional Columbus Dog Trainer, Kat Laclede has loved animals ever since she can remember, after she graduated from the University of Cincinnati she decided to become an animal trainer. Between then and now, Kat gained experience training a variety of different animals working in zoos and aquariums all over the country.

Living in Columbus has given her the opportunity to meet and work with multiple dog experts, and get to know the city from the paws up! She is incredibly excited to take over Buckeye Dog Training and to deliver quality training to the dogs and people of Columbus!

Kat has completed the Canine Trade Group’s Professional Dog Trainer’s Course – an intensive, 320-hour program that has fully prepared Kat to work with any kind of canine personality. This course included an in-depth study of canine learning theories, as well as several weeks of hands-on work where Kat learned how to address even the most challenging dog behavior issues, like aggression and anxiety. She is also a certified AKC CGC Evaluator.

Columbus Dog Trainer Kat combines her knowledge of dog behavior modification with a healthy respect for the bond between a dog and his family to create dog training programs that not only resolve complex canine behavior issues, but strengthen the bond between a family and their beloved dog.
